Gromowladny is the work of Lupus Wszesławiewicz, most well-known for his contributions as the guitarist for Veles on "Black Hateful Metal". His intuitive and menacingly beautiful "razor-wire" guitar work on that album helped define it as a disturbingly dark and unique Polish black metal triumph and although Gromowladny is far from a simple repeat of this performance, it is a product of the same strange and hallucinatory world where musical ideas that would otherwise never occur to "paint by numbers" practitioners of conventional black metal congeal into a natural and nationalistic artform. This collection highlights the great and obscure work of Lupus and his greatly underappreciated role in the legacy of Polish black metal, his recordings representing its most bizarre branches.
The LP contains Gromowladny's 1996 demo "Barbarzyński Młot Wojny" in full, remastered by Harald Mentor for vinyl. Also included on the B-side is the rare rehearsal demo of Winter Moonlight, the precursor band to Gromowladny featuring Lupus and Obscenus (Abs Conditus).
Lupus also was a part of pagan/folk/ambient groups Perunwit, Karina Bez Wiatru and Wolves. CW Productions will reissue the very obscure Wolves demo tape in 2025, in addition to an unreleased recording session from Gromowladny.
High quality vinyl pressing with pro jackets, poly lined inner sleeves and two inserts containing lyrics, photos and additional material including some English translations.
